Camping Trip

Ok, last post for today. The past few days we have been camping at Payson Lakes. It was a lovely drive through Payson Canyon. Not too far away, but far enough to get away. Mike had heard about it and wanted to try it out.

We ended up leaving Thursday afternoon and got bake this morning (Sat.). We were able to stimulate the economy enough to finish off getting some things to make our camping trips more confortable.

I think I will add some pictures too. I hope you don't get sick of them. :) Anyway, there was a lake that had a paved walking trail all the way around, so we went and Ben walked the entire way carrying his little pack and Charlie made it most of the way around by himself and we only, well I should say Mike only had to hold him for a little bit.

We were able to enjoy the outdoors and eachother. It was fun to be together and do that. The boys were playing in the dirt at one point and I told them to not play in it and Mike says to the boys to just tell me it's ok because we're camping. So, needless to say, we got plenty dirty. We did have a lot of fun and are starting to plan our next adventure. I'll let you know what we do.....

Johnson Family Gathering

I need to update things. A week ago we had Mike's family all down here (those that are around) for dinner. It was fun to have everyone together. It doesn't happen enough in my opinion. While they were here I took a few pictures that I wanted to put up. We tried to get a shot of all 5 grandkids, but Brigit was taking a nap when the picture occurred. It's close though. So, I hope someone can enjoy these.

Fun with the Camera

I just thought I would share some pictures I took of the kids. I'm getting so I want to know how to take a decent picture. Some of them could have been a ton better, but I think a couple of them turned out pretty good. Anyway, I'll let you be the judge and see my cute kids. :)

Since these pictures were taken, the boys have recieved hair cuts. I decided that I needed a picture of the medel that Brigit won, so this is a cute one that worked. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Also, here is a scanned in copy of the picture that the photographer took of Brigit at the contest.

Newspaper

I'm going to see if this will work. Brigit got to be in the paper for being in 2nd place at the baby contest. I scanned in the newspaper onto the computer, so we'll see if I can get it on here and have it look ok.

Just thought I would share.

Father's Day

What to do, what to do?

I have been thinking about Father's Day and wondering about my dear husband. What can I do for him on this day, that I don't do on other days??

I actually feel bad saying that. I love my husband and I'm really glad that he is around, but I just am at a loss as to what I can do? If any of you have some ideas that you want/can share with me that would be great. He is a great dad to our kids and I'm so glad he's here to help me with them. He makes it possible for me to stay home with them and I love him for that. I'm just not sure of the best way to show that to him (something special that is).

Thanks for listening/reading. :)

Tag, I'm it!!

In responce to Kate...Here it goes....

I have a terrible memory, so we'll see if I can remember anything accurately.

10 years ago...I was 19 and in college at Weber State. I don't remember knowing what I wanted to study, but I was getting my generals taken care of. I was working at ZCMI in the childrens department. I was hanging out with friends and attending missionary farwells. I would also have been writing some missionary friends as well. Can't remember too much more...

5 years ago...I was 24 and had just had my miscarriage. That is really strange to think about. Hubby had just finished his Bachelors degree and had gotten hired on at Islandview. We had gone to Japan in May to visit his family. I was getting ready to start school (summer semester). I had a year left. Yeah!! I was working in the payroll office at Weber State. I think that's about it.

5 months ago...February...Wow, this is probably the hardest one for me to remember, why is that? Lets see. Hubby started track and late days. I was having fun staying at home and dealing with three kids. I think we were preparing for our trip to Disneyland, so that was good.

5 things on my to-do list
1. laundry
2. get our strawberry plants planted
3. get some major cleaning done
4. enjoy time with no school/work
5. prepare for the summer....

5 things I would do if I was suddenly a billionaire
1. be treated for shock
2. be completely debt free
3. put enough away so I wouldn't have to worry down the road
4. give some away/help others
5. travel (Japan, Peru, Argentina)

5 bad habits
1. food, eating, and more eating
2. being lazy
3. procrastinating
4. staying up too late
5. I'm a bad, back seat driver

5 places I have lived
1. Kaysville, UT
2. West Weber, UT
3. Roy, UT
4. Argentina
5. Springville, UT

5 things people don't know about me
1. I'm using cloth diapers
2. I love having a clothes line outside :)
3. I make bread once a week
4. I love being a stay at home mom
5. I really can't stand canned peas

I guess that's it. I'll pass this tag to Maria, Jana, Annie, or anyone else who wants it.

Baby Contest

For those that don't know, Brigit was in a baby contest this afternoon. Just she and I went while dad stayed home with the boys.

We got there and got ready. The contestants had to wear either a white shirt or onsie, other than that, anything went. We got a number and the judges each came up and talked to us and of course she was a ham for them. While we waited for the judging to be done, I had a ton of fun and took a ton of pictures.

Then, they announced the winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd places). Brigit was called as second place. So, she got a medal and she will get to ride in the Parade next Sat.

We then went out and they took her picture and then they took another one with the 3 winners. It was just something fun and I just have to say that while I watched her get a picture taken it reminded me of a baby picture of my mother. I'll have to see if I can get it up here so we can all compare.....

Funny Story

I just had to tell you all what happened to me yesterday. A fork fell and hit my foot. I ended up bleeding out of two holes from where the prongs of the fork hit me. Needless to say, that fork went straight to the sink to get washed....
Ain't no need to watch where I'm going, just need to know where I've been.
